25-01-2017 20:45 BST - EA7 Emporio Armani Milan v Olympiacos Piraeus - Euroleague Betting Tips

This is the first game in a long time that Milan have stepped into with a bit of confidence. This is because the Italian side managed to get out of a 10 game losing run last week. This win hasn’t massively improved their standing, they are second bottom with a 5-13 record for the season but having finally won a game, there is a good chance that the side from Milan will be feeling a lot more positive about life in general this week.

The Greeks head to Italy in good form, having won their four most recent outings. There has also been eight wins out of nine for Olympiacos and the team are just one win behind the table leaders, so this 13-5 record needs to be improved in this game.

Olympiacos are looking good in Euroleague action

The last time these two sides met ended in a 91-81 win for Olympiacos in Greece, and the Greek side have triumphed in the last five clashes with Milan. When you add in the fact that Olympiacos have the best defence in the league, giving up just 72.8 points per game, you have a lot of things pointing you in the direction of the Greek side. However, Milan are the fourth top scorers in the Euroleague, averaging 81.2 points per game and they’ll fancy their chances of having a go at Olympiacos.

There is a doubt over Rakim Sanders for Milan, and the player has grabbed an average of 14.4 points per game, so he will be a big loss if he is out. However, this is an opportunity for Ricky Hickman and Kruno Simon, both with an average of 10.4 points per game to make their mark.

Vassilis Spanoulis, with an average of 13.1 points per game and Georgios Printezis, with an average of 12.1 points per game are likely to be the key players for Olympiacos although Matt Lojeski, with an average of 10.7 points per game, can also have an impact.
