Game-day 3 in Group B threw up a number of big scores, a couple of surprises and disappointment for the host team. It was comfortable for the Serbians as they made it three out of three with this convincing win against Iceland. No one expected too much from Iceland in this tournament but the manner with which Serbia strong-armed them out of the game was indicative of their pace and power.
Bogdan Bogdanovic, Nemanja Nedovic and Ognjen Kuzmic were all on sparkling form in this game and if these three players maintain this form, the Serbians will cause problems for plenty of teams. Logi Gunnarsson offered up 18 points for the Icelandic team.
31 points in the first quarter gave Turkey a dominant position over Germany and it was one that they wouldn’t relinquish throughout the game. This made it a tough session for the German fans in Berlin but the hardy band of Turkish followers certainly enjoyed what was on offer.
With 16 points and 9 rebounds, Semih Erden was in great form for the Turkish while the Germans were once again boosted by the performance of Dennis Schroder, who provided 24 points.
After a big win on game-day 2, many thought the Spanish were going to run away with the group but their hopes were hauled back down by the Italians. There were some big plays and some big players in this game with Danilo Gallinari grabbing 29 points for the winners while Pau Gasol delivered 34 points and 10 rebounds for the losing side.

Italy v Germany
It’s another game between a team on 5 points and a team on 4. After defeating Spain, Italy should feel as though they have enough in their locker to take on Germany but of course, there are a few things in the German’s favour. The home crowd can make a difference, it can lift players, and the Berlin fans will know that a win is vital for the German side. Iceland v Spain
With a 0-3 record so far, Iceland won’t be expecting too much in the game against Spain but they are facing a Spanish side that has lost two games so far this campaign. It may not have been a final that many people predicted in the build-up to the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket tournament but even with that in mind, there was a shock win.
