FIBA EuroBasket 2015 Betting TipsWith the group stages now concluded, all focus and attention turns to the knock-out round. The Round of 16 takes place, like all of the remaining games in the 2015 EuroBasket event, in Lille, in France.

The nature of the knock-out round sees four games being played out on Saturday and then a further four games being played out on Sunday.

Round of 16 games taking place on Saturday 12th September are:

  • Latvia v Slovenia
  • Greece v Belgium
  • Spain v Poland
  • France v Turkey

Latvia v Slovenia

The first game of the knock-out round sees the team that finished second in Group D squaring off against the team that came third in Group C.

Slovenia were in good form in their group, coming in behind Greece and the host nation of Croatia and they will feel as though they have a good chance of triumphing in this game. With Latvia having played all of their home games from the comfort of Riga, the trip to Lille will be a test for them without their fanatical backing.

Taking Slovenia at -4.5, at odds of 1.90, is likely to be a sound bet. If you are looking to take advantage of the Over/Under market, look to go OVER 144.5 at odds of 1.90. Bet Now!

Greece v Belgium

At one point on the final day, Belgium topped Group D but by the time all of the games had been played, they dropped down to fourth spot. This means that the Belgians come up against Greece, the 5-0 leaders of Group C and you have to say that the Greeks look in good shape for this game. Vassilis Spanoulis has been at the top of his game so far, and if he can continue in this vein on Saturday, you have to say that it all adds up to a win for Greece.

This is a game that the Greek team will be well fancied and you can see them taking control of the game. This is why taking Greece at -10.5, at odds of 1.90, should be more than enough to provide you with some Saturday basketball betting fun. For the Over/Under market, look to go OVER 142.5, at odds of 1.90Bet Now!

Spain v Poland

The second placed team in Group B takes on the third placed team in Group A and on paper; you would say that there was only going to be one winner from this game. Of course, basketball games aren’t played on paper, and if the two teams show the form from the group games, this one could be tighter than you would think. Then again, Spain have been relying on Pau Gasol so far and you know that he has it in him to carry Spain through to the climax of this tournament so Poland will be very wary of what the NBA star has to offer.

Spain managed to claim second place in their group but they have been far from convincing. They should have more than enough to take care of Poland, but opting for Poland at +13.5, at odds of 1.90, wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world. For the Over/Under market, look to go UNDER 153.5 at odds of 1.90Bet Now!

France v Turkey

Turkey endured an overtime scrap with Iceland on Thursday which means that they may not be at their best for this game. A mauling from Spain and a comprehensive defeat from Serbia suggests that Turkey are not at the highest standard of the European basketball game, which means that France should be confident of improving on their 5-0 record so far in the tournament.

The hosts are well fancied and given that they rested some key players in their final group game, you wouldn’t be shocked if the French made a statement of intent with this game. This is why you should look to take France at -10.5, at odds of 1.90. With respect to the Over/Under market, look to go OVER 148.5 at odds of 1.90. Bet Now!
