08-02-2017 19:00 BST - Cedevita Zagreb v Unicaja Málaga - Eurocup Betting Tips

There is not a lot at stake in this EuroCup Group H but that doesn’t mean that there is nothing to look forward to on Wednesday night in Zagreb. The hosts have the chance of finishing in second last place, which may not sound like a lot of fun but it is a lot better than finishing in last place. This alone should see the home team playing with a touch of spirit and vigour, which may just see the home fans enjoying themselves for once.

Cedevita hold a 1-4 record at this point of the campaign and it has been a dispiriting effort in this stage of the EuroCup. When these teams clashed earlier on in the season, it was a comfortable 73-59 result for Malaga and that game emphasised the gulf in class between the teams. There was 17 points from Adam Waczynski for the winners that night but it was Ryan Boatright of the losers who offered 19 points on the night.

Malaga need more in EuroCup this season

Boatright has been a key player for Cedevita this year, and he has provided an average of 18.6 points per game in the Top 16, and this has seen him ranked as the second top scorer for this stage of the campaign. Miro Bilan has also helped out, offering an average of 13.1 points per game in what has been a trying season.

For Malaga, a tie against the winners of Group F awaits, so this match may be a chance to sharpen up for that challenge. Kyle Fogg has been a key player for the Spanish side this season, offering an average of 13.4 points per game and Jamar Smith has provided an average of 11.2 points per game. Malaga’s strength lies in their defence, which has allowed an average of 73.8 points per game but the fact that their scoring record of 73 points per game is the weakest in the Top 16 suggests that the team faces a big task next week.
