Chris Andersen and Tim DuncanThere are times in life when we’ve all spent a bit of time focusing on the rebounds. If you’ve just made your way out of a bad relationship, it can be best to get yourself back in the game. This is when people talk about rebounds as a way of getting over being dumped or breaking up. Whether you’re on the lookout for a rebound or you are the rebound girl or guy, it can be a fun way to spend your time but you don’t want to spend too much time in that position.

Rebounds are not necessarily fun, they aren’t something you’ll remember in a couple of years but they play a crucial role in moving your forward. This is the case in dating but it is also the case in basketball. Grabbing the rebounds is a crucial way of ensuring your control the ball and when you control the ball, you control the game. This is why rebound statistics are so important in the world of basketball and if you like basketball betting, rebound betting can be a fun diversion.

Proceed with caution and excitement for prop bets

This style of bet, and all of the other prop bets available, shouldn’t be your main focus when you are looking to win money or utilise your basketball knowledge. However, for big events like the 2014 NBA Finals, rebound betting can ensure you are fully involved with the game and you have an interest to the very end of the game.

Bwin and Bet365 are both running a great number of prop bets on all of the NBA Final games and in advance of Game 4, we are going to take a look at the rebound prop bets available on the basketball betting websites. The players we are going to focus on are:

  • Tim Duncan
  • LeBron James
  • Chris Bosh

Sadly, Bet365 is only offering three different bets on the rebounds market so in order to make a comparison between the two sites we’ll stick with these players. Bet365 offers other prop bets but for the best variety of prop bets, be sure to check out Bwin.

Bet365

Bet365 have Tim Duncan priced at 2.00 to grab over 10.5 rebounds and 1.71 to grab under 10.5 rebounds. LeBron James is priced at 2.10 to grab over 8.5 rebounds and 1.66 to grab under 8.5 rebounds. Finally, they have Chris Bosh priced at 1.83 to grab over 6.5 rebounds and 1.83 to pick up fewer than 6.5 rebounds.

Bwin

LeBron James and Kawhi LeonardBwin have Tim Duncan priced at 1.85 to grab over 10.5 rebounds and 1.85 to grab under 10.5 rebounds. LeBron James is priced at 1.85 to grab over 7.5 rebounds and 1.85 to grab under 7.5 rebounds. Finally, they have Chris Bosh priced at 2.00 to grab over 7.5 rebounds and 1.72 to pick up fewer than 7.5 rebounds.

In Game 1 of the series, Chris Bosh was the top Heat player for rebounds with 9 while Tim Duncan grabbed 10 rebounds for the Spurs in the same game. The second game saw LeBron James grab 10 rebounds but this was eclipsed by Tim Duncan, who picked up 15 rebounds in the course of the game.

In Game 3, Tim Duncan was once again the top man for rebounds for the Spurs but he only collected 6 rebounds this time. For the Heat, LeBron James and Chris Andersen both delivered 5 rebounds each in a low scoring match for rebounds.

Tim Duncan is proving to be the Spurs main man on rebounds but how likely is he to get more or less than 10 rebounds in Game 4 of the 2014 NBA Finals?
