Euroleague - I Feel DevotionWe are now officially at the halfway stage of the 2014/15 Euroleague Top 16 with all teams having now played 7 games. There were some big games on Friday the 13th of February with an explosive derby match in Turkey being the pick of the games on the night!

Group E

Panathinaikos Athens 74 – Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade 69

This was a game that was up for grabs with both teams taking the initiative and the advantage at certain points of the evening but the home team managed to grind out a win in the end. This pushed the Greek side on to a 5-2 record while the Belgrade team dropped down to a 1-6 record and they are will be mainly playing for pride in the second half of the groups.

AJ Slaughter was at the fore for Panathianikos with 16 points while Esteban Batista provided 13 points and James Gist offered up 12 points. Dimitris Diamantidis offered 11 points, 10 assists and 4 steals over the course of the game. Charles Jenkins and Boban Marjanovic grabbed 17 points each with Biban taking in a double-double thanks to his 10 rebounds. Marcus Williams also stepped up, providing 10 points but on the whole, it was a sore evening for the away team.

Group F

Laboral Kutxa 79 – Unicaja Malaga 74

Euroleague - Laboral Kutxa VitoriaThe Spanish affair was a tight game and the home side held on in the end against the team riding high in the Spanish domestic league. This was the third home win in a row for Laboral, moving them on to a 3-4 record while Unicaja sit in last place with a 1-6 record.

Darius Adams grabbed a total of 20 points and 5 assists while Tornike Shengelia, Fabien Causer and Sam Emeterio all offered up 12 points. Another player that offered 12 points was Mindaugas Kuzminskas for Malaga, who also got 11 points each from Jayson Granger and Kostas Vasileiadis.

Anadolu Efes 71 – Fenerbahce 77

The Istanbul derby was a massive game that went down to the wire. This was a game where the lead was tied and exchanged for virtually the entire match before Fenerbahce finally took control in the final 32 seconds of the game! This win put the victors on to a 5-2 record (with 7 away wins in a row) and Efes dropped down to a 4-3 record. The lead changed hands 11 times and there were 9 ties during the game. The lead was never bigger than 7 at any point in the game.

Nemanja Bjelica and Jan Vesely both grabbed 14 points while Ricky Hickman managed to pick up 11 points. Andrew Goudelock and Oguz Savas also played their part in the win, providing 10 points each. Thomas Huertel was a big player for Anadolu with 17 points (10 in the final quarter) while Dontaye Draper provided 13 points and Stratos Perperoglou provided 11 points for the losing side.

CSKA Moscow 97 – EA7 Emporio Milan 75

The team from Moscow got back to winning ways in this comfortable victory that saw the home team move to a 6-1 record and the away team dropped to a 1-6 record.

Milos Teodosic provided 19 points and 6 assists while Nando De Colo offered up 18 points and 7 assists in the win. Sonny Weems provided 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners while Vitaly Fridzon and Sasha Kaun also aided the victory, providing 10 points.

MarShon Brooks managed to provide 24 points for Milan, Joe Ragland offered up 18 points while Samardo Samuels and Nicolo Melli both provided 10 points each for the loses.
