Malaga have been on a horrible run of form
Unicaja have scored an average of 73.7 points in the Euroleague campaign so far and they hold a 4-11 record. This stems from a 4-6 record in the regular season and a 0-5 record in the Top 16. There was a very bright start to the season for Unicaja but they have been in horrendous form for a long time now and it is unclear if they can salvage anything from this year.
They can still grab wins though and if they do, it is likely that Ryan Toolson will be involved. He has notched an average of 10,9 points per game for Unicaja so far this season and the Malaga side need him to deliver. Vladimir Golubovic has offered an average of 5.4 rebounds per game and Jayson Granger has provided an average of 3.8 assists per game.
Unicaja may be struggling in the Euroleague but they are going great guns back home. They are top of the league, sitting with a 16-3 record and in their most recent domestic game; they defeated fellow Euroleague rivals Laboral Kutxa by a score of 76-74.
Nizhny are taking things steady
Nizhny Novgorod have scored an average of 78.7 points per game in the Euroleague this season and they currently hold a 7-8 record. They held a 5-5 record in the regular season and have a 2-3 record in the Top 16 so far. If Nizhny are going to achieve success in Spain, Rochestie will need to deliver. He has scored an average of 19.5 points per game while providing an average of 6.4 assists per game this campaign, so all eyes will be on him. Trey Thompkins has also had a strong season, offering up an average of 7.7 rebounds per game.
Nizhny have been performing okay domestically, they have a 14-3 record and they currently sit in third place in the table. In their most recent outing however, they slipped to a 110-76 loss away to Kalev/Cramo.
