There is always an added air of excitement and drama when two teams with a strong European pedigree meet in the leading European competition. Olympiacos have performed well this season
Olympiacos hold a 12-3 record, which includes an 8-2 record in the regular season, and a 4-1 record in the Top 16. CSKA Moscow remain resolute in Europe
The Russian giants hold a 15-0 record in the Euroleague, having won every game so far. This means that there is a 10-0 record in regular season and so far, a 5-0 record in the Euroleague. The law of averages say that some team will beat them at some point, but when?
If there is hope for Olympiacos, it comes in the domestic form of CSKA. Not that the Moscow side are looking weak, they hold a 16-2 record and sit in first place but in their most recent game, they succumbed to a 76-78 home defeat at the hands of Lokomotiv. The team is not entirely invincible, and Olympiacos have home advantage so can the Greeks do the damage?
