Euroleague Top 16 Betting Tips - Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade v Alba BerlinWhile the Euroleague has been serving up a number of games of late against teams with a strong rivalry, this will be the first ever meeting between these two teams, but there is still plenty of Euroleague betting information to call on. There will be a sense of familiarity for the Alba head coach, Sasa Obradovic though, because he spent a considerable chunk of his playing career with Zvezda. The coach hails from Belgrade and he will be seen to ensure his team gets a positive result from the trip.

Alba have had a decent start to the Top 16, sitting with 2-2 record and they will be taking on a team with 0-4 record. However, as Zvezda now have two home games in a row, they will be keen to make a difference to their hopes of continuing their Euroleague campaign.

The Belgrade side needs to start winning in the Top 16

When you consider that the Belgrade side had a 6-4 record in their regular season, their 0-4 status in the Top 16 is a disappointing return. They may be riding high in the Adriatic League, with a 19-0 record, but they need to start transferring this domestic form to the European arena. The most recent domestic outing for Crvena was a narrow 76-77 away win over Buducnost.

The team from Belgrade has scored an average of 76.1 points per game in the Euroleague and Boban Marjanovic is at the heart of it all. The Serbian center has offered up an average of 15.5 points per game while also providing an average of 9.7 rebounds per game. Marcus Williams, the American guard, has also been in fine form, offering an average of 11.7 points per game and an average of 6.2 assists per game.

Alba looking to keep their form going

Euroleague - Alba BerlinAlba are also flying high in their domestic league, sitting in first place with an 18-1 record, and they enjoyed a comfortable away win against Mitteldeutscher BC in their most recent domestic game, winning 81-96. The Euroleague form has been improving and the team will have genuine hope of continuing their run in the competition.

They may have held a 4-6 record in the regular group but their 2-2 Top 16 standing sees them in a good position and the club has scored an average of 74.3 points per game in the Euroleague. Jamel McLean, the US forward, has been integral to the German side’s form, scoring an average of 13.9 points per game while providing an average of 5.7 rebounds per game. Alex Renfoe has also stepped up offering an average of 9.1 points per game, an average of 4.3 rebounds per game and an average of 5.0 assists per game.

There is a lot to be said for opting for Alba with a +5.5 handicap, especially at odds of 1.90. This bet is available with Bet365, along with a number of Euroleague betting options.
