FIBA Basketball Champions League

There are five games on offer on Tuesday in the FIBA Basketball Champions League.

Tofas Bursa (0-1) vs. Hapoel Unet-Credit Holon (1-0)

The hosts suffered a defeat in their opening Play-Offs game, and they welcome a side who hit the ground running in the opening run of fixtures.

With Tofas also losing in their domestic league at the weekend, they will be desperate to get back to winning ways before too long. Holon enjoyed success at the weekend too, so this is a game between sides with contrasting fortunes.

VEF Riga (0-1) vs. Igokea (0-1)

Both of these sides lost out in their opening Group J game last week. The hosts had a blank weekend, so have been stewing on the loss while Igokea clinched a win their domestic league at the weekend.

VEF have been stronger at home this campaign than they were last season, so this is something to give the home fans hope heading into these games.

Hereda San Pablo Burgos (1-0) vs. Lenovo Tenerife (1-0)

The two victorious sides in week one of Group J clash in Spain, with the hosts also enjoying a comfortable win over Andorra at the weekend. Tenerife had the weekend off, so it will be interesting to see how these domestic rivals fare this midweek.

These sides clashed in Tenerife on domestic duty in December, with the hosts running out 85-79 winners. There was also a domestic cup clash in February, and again, Tenerife triumphed. Will they hold the upper hand in a third tournament?

ERA Nymburk (1-0) vs. Dinamo Sassari (0-1)

In Group L, Nymburk will be keen to build on their win last midweek, and in their impressive victory at the weekend in the Czech league.

Things have been tougher on Sassari of late, losing last midweek, and dropping to Varese in the Serie A on Saturday. Marco Spissu was in key form, delivering 19 points, but it wasn’t enough to avert a damaging loss.

Happy Casa Brindisi (0-1) vs. Pinar Karsiyaka (1-0)

While Brindisi enjoyed a strong win in Serie A at the weekend, they need to win this game to bolster their Champions League hopes. However, with two losses at home so far in the BCL, it will be a tough task for Happy Casa!

Pinar come into this one after a storming domestic win in Turkey, with Amath M’Baye delivering 26 points. Pinar also won last midweek, and will be looking to make it two wins out of two at this stage of the BCL.
