NBA Finals LogoHome advantage has certainly been of benefit to the Golden State Warriors as they have taken a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals. The action moves onto Cleveland in the next game but the Warriors will be feeling rather content about their situation. The reigning NBA champions know that they if they can grab a win in Game 3 they will stand on the brink of retaining their title and crowing their record-breaking season in the most appropriate manner.

Cleveland Cavaliers 77 @ Golden State Warriors 110

In 32 Finals, only 4 teams have bounced back from being 0-2 down to win the NBA Finals, so history is against the Cavs but more than history, the psychology of the defeat is something that the Cavs will have to contend with. There is a real danger that the Cavaliers will feel as though the Warriors are on a completely different plane to themselves. The next game is in Cleveland but there is a feeling that the pressure may be cranked up too high on the Warriors.

It is not quite a “do or die” situation for the Cavaliers but it is not far off it. The fact that they really need to win this one while the champions have created some leeway may give an opportunity to the Cleveland side but many people believe that the reigning champions will be too strong.

Steph Curry wasn’t needed to make a difference

Draymond Green grabbed 28 points for the winners on a night when Steph Curry didn’t have to exert himself too much. The Cavs edged the first quarter but from the second quarter, the home side stepped up a gear and romped home with ease. LeBron James provided 19 points in the loss and it looks as though he could end up on the losing side once again in the NBA Finals.

This isn’t quite the thinking of the bookmakers though and at the moment, there isn’t much between the two sides at this point. You can back the Warriors at +1, at odds of 1.90, and if you are looking for the Over/Under market, you should look to go UNDER 206.5, which you can find at odds of 1.90Bet Now!
