FIBA Basketball Champions LeagueThere are 24 teams involved with the next phase of the FIBA Basketball Champions League 2016/17 and a total of 12 countries are represented. The next stage of the tournament begins with teams ranked from 9th to 24th playing off in a two-legged round. The winners of these ties then process to the Round of 16 where they will be joined by the teams who have been ranked 1st to 8th in the competition.

The eight teams from the FIBA Champions League who didn’t qualify for the next round but who drop into the FIBA Europe Cup are:

The draw for the next stage of the FIBA Champions League takes place on Friday the 278th of January, with the event taking place at 14:00 CET.

The first legs of the qualifiers for the Round of 16 will take place on February 7th and 8th with the return legs taking place on February 21st and 22nd. The first leg of the Round of 16 will take place on February 28th and March 1st while the second leg ties will take place on March 7th and 8th.

The eight winning teams progress to the quarter-finals and the first leg of these ties will be played on March 21st and 22nd while the return legs will be played on March 28th and 29th.

The four triumphant sides from the quarter-finals will progress to the Final Four. At this stage, the destination for the Final Four is yet to be announced, as it will be hosted by one of the participating teams, but it is scheduled to take place between April 28th and 30th. The semi-final ties will take place on April 28th with April 30th hosting the third and fourth playoff match and the grand final of the FIBA Champions League 2016/17 season.
