24/05/2015 02:00 – Golden State Warriors @ Houston Rockets

NBA Conference Finals Betting Tips - Warriors @ RocketsBoth of the Conference Finals have concluded the Game 2 stage, and there is a 2-0 lead in both of the Finals. The Eastern Conference held the focus on Friday night and the Cavaliers won their second away game of the series, defeating the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 82-90. On Sunday the series switches to Cleveland and if the Cavs can hold at home, they could be looking at an early climax to the series, which will see them make their way to the NBA Finals.

LeBron James served up 30 points on Friday night, pulling away in the third quarter before holding on for a convincing win.

In the Western Conference Final, it the Golden State Warriors who have a 2-0 lead but the Rockets can at least look forward to a home game in Game 3. They will need to do something different if they want to keep up their hopes of making it to the NBA Finals but things are difficult when you come up against a player like Stephen Curry.

Stephen Curry was the top player in the last game

Curry is a deserved MVP and his form in the opening two games of this series so far indicates that he is worth the praise he receives. Curry delivered 34 points in Game 1 and then offered up 33 points in Game. Over the two games he has made 11 three point shots and he has been on fire in the two games.

However, the score lines have been close. The first game saw the Warriors win by just the 4 points and in the second match, the margin was one point with James Harden being blocked out in the final seconds. The MVP runner-up has been in decent form in this series but he couldn’t get that shot away which would have changed the complexion of the series. At one point the Warriors were ahead by 17 points on Thursday night before being pegged back, and it was almost a hugely dramatic ending to the game.

Dwight Howard could be a big player in Game 3

Houston Rockets LogoDwight Howard is considered a probably player for this game, and if he can perform to a strong level, there will be a lot for the Rockets fans to look out for. He offered up 19 points and 17 rebounds in the last game and there will be a lot resting on Howard’s shoulders, so hopefully he is fit for action.

The matchup between Curry and Harden is likely to be at the heart of this game and if either of these two players can get the upper hand, they may make the difference for their team.

The Warriors have a 77-17 record, which a 32-14 record on the road and they currently have an 8-2 record in their last 10 games. The Rockets record is currently 64-32 for the season and they have a 36-12 record at home, with a 5-5 record in their 10 most recent games. The Warriors are very much in the lead for average points scored and average points conceded this season. With respect to average points scored, the Warriors are ahead 109.0 to 104.8 and for average points conceded, the Warriors lead 99.3 to 101.9.
