Midweek NBA Betting Action Is On

NBA Betting TipsThe middle of the week may not seem like a lot of fun but there are plenty of NBA games to look forward to. When it comes to basketball betting, the top league won’t let you down but there were some pretty big games taking place on Tuesday to cover first.

The Cavaliers grabbed another win, defeating the Bucks by a score of 111-108 in Cleveland. The Nets went to New York and defeated the Knicks by a score of 93-98 while the Pelicans were triumphant at home over the Thunder by a score of 112-104. The Suns were also home winners, defeating the Pacers by a score of 116-99 while the Kings slumped to a home defeating, the Raptors winning 109-117.

The Hawks had a home win against the Celtics, a score of 109-105 settling that match while the Lakers won on the road, defeating the Pistons by 96-106. The Bulls lost at home, slipping to a 129-132 loss to the Mavericks and the Nuggets also lost at home, the Trail Blazers clinching a close 103-105 win. There was also a close one for the Golden State Warriors as they defeated the Magic by a score of 98-97.

Atlanta Hawks @ Miami Heat

The Atlanta Hawks are 10-6, with a 2-4 away record while the Heat are 9-8 with a 4-5 record at home, so both of these teams are coming into this game showing good form this season. With respect to immediate form, the Hawks are on a winning run of 3 while the Heat lost their last outing.

Miami Heat LogoThe Hawks had to put in a great deal of effort on Tuesday to overcome the Celtics in a tight and exciting match, and it may be that they struggle to lift themselves again in Miami. The Heat will be looking to return to winning ways after losing on Monday in Washington.

Neither team has too many injuries to contend with as the Hawks are only concerned over Thabo Sefolosha while the Heat are only worried about Dwyane Wade, and his return from a hamstring injury.

It’s likely to be a close call but with the Heat at home and pushing to return to winning ways, taking them with a -4 handicap and with odds of 1.90, you may get some joy from the basketball betting opportunities on Wednesday. Bet Now!

San Antonio Spurs @ Brooklyn Nets

San Antonio Spurs LogoThe Spurs are currently sitting with a 13-4, 7-3 away from home, record while the Brooklyn Nets hold a 7-9, 3-4 at home, record. The Nets won their last game but the Spurs have won their last 8 and there is a great show of consistency from last season’s champions. It may have taken a while to get into their stride but the Spurs are showing why many people have been tipping them to retain their title, and there is no reason why they cannot do that, or win comfortably in Brooklyn on Wednesday night.

Kawhi Leonard was tremendous in the NBA Finals last season but like his team, he had a slow start to this campaign. He is finding his feet now though as a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds against the 76ers on Monday proved. The Nets will have enjoyed a 93-98 win in New York on Tuesday with Brook Lopez grabbing 23 points, with 19 in the first half, and Joe Johnson grabbing 22 points, 19 after the break.

Neither team has significant injuries to report for this match and with odds of 1.90 for the Spurs with a -8.5 handicap; there is a good chance that the team from San Antonio will put a good distance between themselves and their opponents. Bet Now!

Philadelphia 76ers @ Minnesota Timberwolves

The 76ers now have a 0-17 record, including 0-7 away from home, and they are edging ever close to having the poorest starting record of any team in any NBA season. While there will be a growing desire and intensity to not become the team that goes into the history books for all the wrong reasons, it is clearly not just a case where desire can turn things around. There will be games that the 76ers win this season, there has to be, and the law of averages suggest that it shouldn’t be too long in coming, but on a game by game basis, they are looking unlikely in every match-up.

Philadelphia 76ers LogoThey are facing a team who aren’t doing too great though as the Timberwolves currently hold a 4-12 record, with a 2-5 record at home. If the 76ers are going to break their streak, this may well be the sort of game that makes the difference, or it could be the game where the Timberwolves get a boost and start to rise up the standings. The Timberwolves have lost two on the bounce, which obviously pales alongside their opponents poor run of form.

The Monday night loss against the Spurs was another close match but the 76ers are toiling badly. Tony Wroten missed that game with a knee injury, Joel Embiid is a good way from playing, which is tough on the team and the number 3 draft pick and Dario Saric may be tearing things up in the Euroleague but he won’t be heading to America anytime soon, all of which the 76ers aren’t getting that spark they need to lift themselves out of this position they are in.

Minnesota are also struggling with a number of injuries but this has led to players such as Zach Lacine and Shabazz Muhammad getting regular game time. LaVine managed to deliver 28 points from the bench in Los Angeles against the Lakers on Friday (in a 119-120 win) and Muhammad delivered 28 points on Sunday in a 107-93 loss in Portland.

With respect to injuries, there are doubts over Jerami Grant while Toni Wroten is out and Nerlens Noel is being monitored on a daily basis. Andrew Wiggins is being monitored by the Timberwolves and Nikola Pekovic is a major doubt.

If you fancy the 76ers to push hard to avoid an unwanted record, taking them at a handicap of +7 with odds of 1.90 is likely to be a good bet for a Wednesday. Bet Now!
