Detroit Pistons @ Washington Wizards

Detroit Pistons LogoAt the start of the campaign, the Pistons were well acquainted with the disappointment of losing basketball games, a feeling that the Wizards know all about at the moment. The team will be playing their fourth game in five evenings, and when you are on a terrible run of form, the games coming thick and fast can be a good thing, but only if you get a win to change the rut. If you continue to drop games, the feeling gets worse in a short period of time. The Wizards take on a Pistons team that they have already lost to in the past week. Will this game offer the Washington side a chance of redemption or will it see them falter yet again?

The Pistons hold a 23-35 record coming into this game, and this includes an 11-15 record away from Detroit. The team has lost their two most recent games and they hold a 5-5 record in their last 10 games. This contrasts with the 33-26 record that the Wizards have, and they have a 20-10 record in Washington. The Wizards have lost their last 6 games and they have a 2-8 record in their last 10 outings.

There isn’t a lot between the two sides when it comes to average points scored and average points allowed. For average points scored, the Wizards have the edge, 98.7 to 98.5 while for average points allowed, the Wizards also have the edge, but by a larger margin, 98.1 to 99.8. The Pistons lost out on Friday night, losing at home to the Knicks by a score of 115-121 and on the same evening, the Wizards lost in Philadelphia, dropping to an 89-81 defeat.

The Pistons will be monitoring Tayshaun Prince in the run-up to the game while Bradley Beal is a doubt for the Wizards. The Washington side will also be monitoring Paul Pierce and Kris Humphries.

Taking the Pistons at +3.5, with odds of 1.90, looks like being a good bet for Saturday. Bet Now!

Atlanta Hawks @ Miami Heat

The Hawks will think that they are back on track after a tough period and they will be looking to defeat the heat for the fifth time in a row for the first time in 25 years. Their present run of three wins in a row is the first time the Hawks have achieved this since November, and they will be desperate to continue this form against a Heat team that has badly toiled this campaign.

Atlanta Hawks LogoThe Hawks have a 46-12 record this season, which includes a road record of 19-8. The Heat have a 25-32 record this season, which includes a 10-16 record. The Hawks have won three on the bounce, which includes a 6-4 record in their last 10 games while the Heat come into this game on the back of a defeat and a 4-6 record in their last 10 games.

The Hawks have the better record for average points scored and average points allowed. The average points scored return stands at 102.8 to 93.7 while the average points allowed record stands at 96.4 to 96.8. The Hawks defeated the Magic at home on Friday night, winning 95-88 while the Heat lost a narrow game to the Pelicans on Friday night, going down 104-102.

The Heat don’t have any major injury concerns while the Hawks are monitoring Jeff Teague on a day to day basis.

Taking the Hawks with a -5 handicap, and odds of 1.90, seems too good to be true given the season form, so get involved with this on Saturday. Bet Now!

Memphis Grizzlies @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Memphis Grizzlies LogoThis has to be a convincing win for the Grizzlies or they may find that the wheels are going to fall off their season, which has been largely impressive. The team has lost their two most recent games, which will cast a seed of doubt or two in their heads but if they are unable to get a positive result out of a trip to Minnesota, they may have to think that they don’t have serious post-season intentions. The Grizzlies still lead the Rockets and the Mavericks but a handy lead has now been downsized to a narrow one.

Even with that in mind, the Grizzlies have a 41-16 record, which includes an 18-10 record away from this. The 18 wins away from home represents 10 wins more than the Timberwolves have achieved all season, with the side from Minnesota holding a 13-44 record, with a 8-21 status at home. The Timberwolves come into this game on the back of a defeat and they hold a 5-5 record in their last 10 games.

As you would expect, the Grizzlies have an advantage for average points scored and average points allowed. For average points scored, the Grizzlies lead 99.8 to 97.7 and for average points allowed, the Memphis side have a 95.6 record compared to a 105.6 record for the Timberwolves. The Grizzlies lost at home to the Clippers on Friday night, 79-97 and the Timberwolves lost in Chicago, the Bulls running out 96-89 winners.

The Timberwolves are monitoring Gary Neal and Kevin Garnett in the run-up to this one. Taking the Grizzlies with a -5 handicap, at odds of 1.90, should be a safe bet for Saturday betting fans. Bet Now!
