Christmas Week of Basketball Betting Gets Underway

NBA Betting TipsWe may now be into Christmas week but things aren’t slowing down in the NBA. We have a number of great games lined up for Monday, and for the rest of the week, while there were some exciting games on Sunday to look back on.

The 76ers grabbed a big away win, defeating the Magic 88-96. The Kings had a 108-101 home win against the Lakers and the Pacers grabbed a 96-100 away win against the Timberwolves. The Suns also grabbed an away win, defeating the Wizards 92-104 and the Pelicans were also triumphant away from home, defeating the Thunder by a score of 99-101.

Denver Nuggets @ Charlotte Hornets

Denver Nuggets LogoWith a 12-15 record, and a 4-9 record away from Denver, it has hardly been a glorious season for the Nuggets so far. Mind you, they are better placed than the Hornets who hold an 8-19 record, with a 6-9 record in Charlotte. Both teams are on a winning streak of 2 games and the five game record for both teams stands at 2-3.

Before their last two games, the Hornets had only won twice in 16 games, but two triumphs in the past week has given the team some optimism. A 91-109 win in Philadelphia on Friday was a confidence booster and on Saturday, they down the Jazz 104-96 in Charlotte. It was a low-scoring match for the Nuggets on Saturday, defeating the Pacers by 76-73. Timofey Mozgov was in fine form, picking up 15 rebounds and offering five blocks in the game.

The Nuggets are monitoring Danilo Gallinari, Darrel Arthur, Nate Robinson and Randy Foye while the Hornets are keeping a close eye on Lance Stephenson and Al Jefferson.

Taking the Nuggets with a +2 handicap, at odds of 1.90, should be enough to get you started with your Monday basketball betting. Bet Now!

Portland Trail Blazers @ Houston Rockets

Portland Trailblazers LogoWith a 22-6 record and a 10-4 record away from home, the Trail Blazers have been in extremely impressive form so far this campaign. They come up against the Rockets who hold a 19-7 record and a 9-5 record at home. However, the Trail Blazers come into this game with the much better form as they have won five games in a row while the Rockets have been defeated in their last two games, giving them a 3-2 record in their last five games.

Damian Lillard grabbed 17 points for the Trail Blazers in Saturday’s thumping 88-114 win in New Orleans. The Rockets lost to the Pelicans on Thursday of last week, and followed that up with a 97-104 loss to the Hawks.

Portland have concerns over the fitness of Nicolas Batum and CJ McCollum but it is the home side who have the most injury concerns. There are doubts over Dwight Howard, James Harden, Ronny Turiaf, Francisco Garcia, Kostas Panapaikolaou, Jason Terry and Isaiah Canaan. Some of these players will be cleared fit to play in the match but the Rockets are clearly close to breaking point with respect to their team selections.

Taking the Trail Blazers with a +3.5 handicap, at odds of 1.90, seems like a smart bet for Monday. Bet Now!

Sacramento Kings @ Golden State Warriors

The Kings have a 12-15 record with a 5-6 record away from home while the Warriors have a much more impressive 22-3 record, with includes a 9-1 record at home. However, both teams come into this game on the back of a single victory but the 5 game record tells a completely different story. The Kings hold a 1-4 record while the Warriors hold a 4-1 record in their last five games.

Golden State Warriors LogoThe Warriors won 16 games in a row before losing in Memphis last Tuesday, but they bounced back quickly on Thursday night. At one point they were trailing the Thunder by 17 points but in the end, they ran out convincing 114-109 winners.

The form of the Kings has been much less impressive but a 108-101 win against the Lakers on Sunday gave the Kings their third win in 13 games. DeMarcus Cousins grabbed 29 points and 14 rebounds while Rudy Gay offered 24 points and Ben McLemore provided a season high of 23 points.

The Kings have concerns over DeMarcus Cousins, Reggie Evans, Ramon Sessions and Omri Casspi while the Warriors could well be missing Andrew Bogut and David Lee.

Taking the Warriors with a -12 handicap at odds of 1.90 should be a good way to get your festive week started. Bet Now!
