Midweek NBA Action To Enjoy

NBA Betting Tips 14 January 2015If you are the sort of person that isn’t a big fan of Wednesday, at least there are a bundle of NBA games to look forward to. The middle of the week can be a bit drab but there were some excellent basketball games on Tuesday night and there are likely to be some exciting moments played out on Wednesday as well.

With respect to Tuesday, the Hawks got a good away win in Philadelphia, taking care of the Hawks by a score of 87-105. The Pacers tumbled at home, with the Timberwolves grabbing a 101-110 win. The Jazz also lost out at home with the Warriors clinching a 105-116 win in Utah. The Lakers also lost at home with the Heat taking the spoils in Los Angeles by a score of 75-78.

The Wizards were able to buck this trend, defeating the Spurs in Washington by a score of 101-93. The Cavaliers lost yet again, this time falling in Phoenix by a score of 107-110. The Kings were another side to lose in front of their home crowd, the Mavericks celebrating a 104-108 win. There were a number of surprise results and great road wins on Tuesday, so we will see what Wednesday has to offer with respect to shocks and surprises in the NBA.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Brooklyn Nets

Memphis Grizzlies LogoThe Grizzlies head to Brooklyn with a 26-11 record and their record away from Memphis stands at 11-7. The Nets meanwhile hold a 16-22 record and the team has a Brooklyn record which consists of 8-12. The Grizzlies won their last game, and currently hold a 2-3 record in their last 5 games but the Nets have managed to lose their last five games. This should see the Grizzlies coming into this game with a great deal of confidence but we know that confidence by itself doesn’t win basketball games.

The Nets were pretty weak in their 99-113 loss to the Rockets on Monday night but the Grizzlies showed a lot more bite in their last game. A 122-110 win against the Suns on Sunday ensured that the Grizzlies were coming into this week with a touch of confidence.

The Nets will be without the suspended Kevin Garnett, and while the Brooklyn side don’t have any injury worries going into this game but the Grizzlies are monitoring a number of players closely. Quincy Pondexter, Tayshaun Prince, Tony Allen and Mike Conley are all being watched on a day to day basis, so there may be some late changes to the away team in this game.

Even with this in mind, it is likely that the Grizzlies will have more than enough for the Nets. With a -6 handicap, and odds of 1.90, taking the away team on Wednesday in Brooklyn is likely to be a smart move. Bet Now!

Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors

The 76ers have a 7-30 record at this stage of the season and this includes a 5-14 record away from Philadelphia. The only bright spot they can take from this is the fact that their away form is so much better than their home form, which may mean that there is an outside chance of success in Toronto for this game. The Raptors currently hold a 25-12 record, which includes a 15-5 record in Toronto.

Toronto Raptors LogoNo matter the difference between the two teams overall record for this campaign, both sides are coming into this game on the back of a loss. The five game record for the 76ers stands at 3-2, which is actually better than the Raptors five game record, which stands at 1-4. It just goes to show that current form can tell a different story from the big picture over the course of a season.

The 76ers were humbled by the Hawks at home on Tuesday, losing out by a score of 87-105 while on Monday, the Raptors lost at home to the Pistons, gunned down 111-114.

DeMar DeRozan has an outside chance of returning for the Raptors while Hollis Thompson is a major doubt for the 76ers and Tony Wroten is being closely watched by the Philadelphia medical staff.

The Raptors should win this one and given that they have something to prove, you can expect them to take care of the -16 handicap, at odds of 1.90, on Wednesday. Bet Now!

Washington Wizards @ Chicago Bulls

Washington Wizards LogoThe Wizards hold a 26-12 record going into this game, and this includes a 9-8 record away from Washington. The Bulls meanwhile hold a 26-13 record and this includes a 12-8 record in Chicago. This is likely to be an even game between these sides and it could go either way.

The Wizards are coming into this one on the back of a win while the Bulls lost their last outing. The Wizards hold a 4-1 record in their last five games while the Bulls record stands at 2-3.

The Wizards head to Chicago on the back of a confidence boosting 101-93 win against the Spurs on Tuesday but the Bulls suffered a poor home defeat on Monday to the Magic, losing out 114-121.

The Wizards are travelling without any notable injury concerns but the Bulls have a number of worries. Mike Dunleavy is tipped to miss this match while Derrick Rose is being closely monitored.

Taking the Wizards with a +6 handicap, at odds of 1.90, is likely to be a smart bet this Wednesday. Bet Now!
