Sunday NBA Action Rolls Around Again

NBA Betting Tips 11 January 2015Sunday may be a day of rest but there is plenty of NBA action to look forward to. There were also plenty of great NBA games taking place on Saturday, which is where we begin out round-up.

The Hornets dished out another lesson to the Knicks, the New York side losing out 82-110. The Celtics slumped again with the Raptors taking them out 109-96 in Toronto. The Pacers were just edged out in Philadelphia, the 76ers narrowly grabbing a 93-92 win while the Rockets were a lot more comfortable in Houston, defeating the Jazz by a score of 97-82.

The Trail Blazers defeated Orlando by a score of 103-92 and the Clippers had a big 120-100 win over the Mavericks in Los Angeles. The Pistons returned to winning ways, defeating Brooklyn by a score of 98-93 in Detroit and the Bulls had a good home win against the Bucks, winning by 95-87. The Spurs grabbed a great away day win, defeating the Timberwolves by a score of 93-108.

The following Sunday games are sure to offer plenty of excitement and a number of basketball betting opportunities.

Washington Wizards @ Atlanta Hawks

The Wizards carry a 25-11 record into this game which contains a 9-7 record away from Washington. They will come up against an Atlanta side that holds a 28-8 record, which includes a 15-3 record in Atlanta. This is clearly a match against two teams who have performed strongly over the course of the campaign and it could be the game for neutrals looking for an exciting basketball match.

Washington Wizards LogoThe Wizards have won three games in a row, holding a 4-1 record over their last five games, but the Hawks have won their last seven games. This should ensure that both teams come into this match with confidence but of course, one team will be ending this game with a defeat.

The Wizards were on fire on Friday, opening up a 17 points lead in the first quarter. In the end, they managed a comfortable 102-86 win against the Bulls and they will be looking to grab their second win in a row in Atlanta.

The Hawks also had a big win on Friday, being the team that finally halted the Pistons, stopping their 7 game winning streak in Detroit. The 103-106 win on the road was greatly helped by Al Horford offering up 19 points, which included his fifth double-double.

Neither team has a major injury concern for this game although the Wizards are monitoring the fitness of Paul Pierce while the Hawks are monitoring Elton Brand closely.

There is no reason why the Wizards cannot do the damage with a handicap of +4.5 and the odds of 1.90 should be fairly attractive. Bet Now!

Miami Heat @ Los Angeles Clippers

The Heat have endured a difficult season so far, coming with a 15-21 record, which includes an 8-9 record away from Miami. In contrast, the Clippers have shown a considerable amount of form over the season and currently hold a 25-12 record, with a home record that stands at 17-5. The Clippers come into this game on the back of two wins while the Heat head to Los Angeles on the back of a loss.

Los Angeles Clippers LogoWith respect to the five game record, the Heat have a 1-4 record while the Clippers hold a 4-1 record. It is easy to see why so many people are tipping the Clippers to come through this game unscathed.

The Clippers trounced the Mavericks by 20 points in a 120-100 win with Blake Griffin grabbing 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists. He was ably assisted by Chris Paul who managed to provide 17 points and 13 assists, which gave the player his fourth double-double in a row.

The Heat lost 99-83 in Portland on Thursday with Dwyane Wade offering 23 points and Chris Bosh serving up 18 points.

With respect to injury concerns coming into this game, Justin Hamilton is expected to be a big doubt for the Heat. For the Clippers, Jordan Farmar and Matt Barnes are being monitored on a regular basis.

If you think the Clippers will run away with this game, and there is no reason why they shouldn’t, their handicap of -10 at odds of 1.90 is likely to be an interesting bet to conclude your week of basketball betting. Bet Now!

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Sacramento Kings

Cleveland Cavaliers LogoThe Cavaliers head to Sacramento with an 18-19 record, which includes an 8-9 record away from Cleveland. The Kings currently hold a 15-21 record which includes a 9-11 record at home. The Kings lost their game, and hold a 2-3 record in their last five games, while the Cavs have lost four in a row, giving them a 1-4 record in their last five games.

JR Smith provided 27 points on Friday night but the Cavs still slumped to a 112-94 loss away to the Golden State Warriors. The Kings offered up a really strong defensive showing on Wednesday in their 104-83 win against the Thunder but on Friday night, they were well defeated at home by the Nuggets, the final score ending 108-118.

The Kings are likely to be without Omri Casspi and Ramon Sessions for this game while the Cavaliers are monitoring Kyrie Irving and Shawn Marion while Iman Shumpert is likely to be out. With LeBron also still missing, although possibly returning on Thursday, there is a need for the rest of the team to stand up and haul the team out of their current slump.

It is likely to be a close game and with a +3.5 handicap, and odds of 1.90, the Cavaliers may just be the team to look out for in this match. Bet Now!
